KRISTEN AUGUSTINE
KRISTEN AUGUSTINE was born and raised along the Connecticut shoreline. She started painting and drawing at a young age, but she didn’t perceive it as a possible profession until she was in High School where she painted a large wall mural that gained her some local exposure. Kristen decided to pursue an art education and graduated from Albertus Magnus College with a degree in Fine Art. As much as she loved the New England charm, her love for the southern sun and lowcountry lifestyle brought her and her husband to Hilton Head Island in 2014.
Kristen is enamored with the abundance of gorgeous landscapes that the lowcountry has to offer and enjoys painting anything from marsh scenes to coastal wildlife. Another one of her favorite subjects to paint is pets and loves to be able to capture the spirit and personality of them. Kristen’s painting medium varies but she most often uses oils and acrylics. She also creates artwork on many different surfaces, including stretched canvas, wood, glass and textiles.
